The board of ‘Glen Richardson Consultancy Limited’ have appointed Tim Southcombe as Director of Design & Development for Design Ontap to strengthen its management team.

The board of ‘Glen Richardson Consultancy Limited’ have appointed Tim Southcombe as Director of Design & Development for Design Ontap to strengthen its management team.

Tim will now be managing all projects, studio staff and liaising with existing clients of the Reading office. Amongst other tasks he will be reviewing our current method of project scheduling, daily rates and regional office liaison efficiency.

Joining the Design Ontap team in February 2006, Tim brought over 14 years of creative industry experience to the company. Prior to this he has worked for a variety of companies both in film & TV and design and development.

Tim began his career in Sydney as an editor in 1992 moving on to direct programmes while completing an Electronics engineering degree part time. After becoming increasingly disillusioned with the unfortunate direction of British television at the end of the nineties, he decided that a change to online design and development would be for the best in 1998.

Coming from a background in film & TV, Tim offers an alternative approach to web application design and development. He values usability above swanky graphics and an overloaded user experience; believing that the Internet isn’t all about entertainment but rather a means for information/idea exchange.

Tim is the founder of Site Foundry, Design Ontap’s design agency specific content management system, which he will continue to manage and develop with Studio teams.
